Installation
- Both the inside and outside of window/door connecting walls should be plastered. There must be no obstructions in the hollow where the new window will be put. The sill must be well plastered.
- Each window should be shimmed to the plumb level suitably and properly.
- The cavity should be measured in three places, both in width and height, as shown below, with a maximum and lowest size difference of 12 mm in width and height.
- The breadth of the sill should be more than the width of the window frame.
- To be provided clear guidance whether the window should be flushed inside or externally, and how much space should be left outside or inside if the sill level is higher.
- Only after one coat of paint has been applied should the installation begin; no plaster of Paris work should be done on the window's joining face to the wall.
